Adam Dwek

Principal and Head of Corporate and Real Estate Practice Groups

Adam Dwek brings over a decade of legal expertise to his role as Principal and Head of Corporate and Real Estate Practice Groups at Goldstein and Grubner. With a strong background in corporate law and mergers & acquisitions, Adam is known for his practical approach, efficiency, and commitment to client satisfaction.

Adam obtained his Juris Doctor of Law from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in 2012 after completing his undergraduate degree in Bio-Psychology at McMaster University and was called to the bar in January, 2014. Prior to joining Goldstein and Grubner, Adam honed his skills at boutique firms, both on and off Bay Street, specializing in corporate law, mergers & acquisitions and commercial real estate. His experience includes acting as external in-house counsel for a large publicly traded electrical company and representing several prominent developers in commercial property acquisitions.
Adam’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, primarily in the pharmacy and dental space. His notable transactions include multimillion-dollar deals such as commercial property acquisitions, refinancing projects, and joint venture developments.

Adam’s approach to legal practice is characterized by practicality, efficiency, and a focus on client empowerment. He prioritizes minimizing risk and unnecessary legal work while ensuring clients fully understand the nature of transactions and potential risks involved. Adam is dedicated to working closely with clients to achieve their ultimate objectives and prides himself on delivering meaningful results.

Adam represents a diverse clientele, including pharmacists, dentists, land developers, landlords, and business owners. He has a special focus on pharmacists and dentists, providing tailored legal solutions to meet their unique needs.

Outside of his legal practice, Adam enjoys skiing (despite his modest proficiency), golfing, and tennis and chess. However, his greatest joy comes from spending time with his toddler son and wife.

Marsha Rampersad

Marsha Rampersad is a lawyer with over 10 years of experience practicing corporate law. Marsha specializes in facilitating and negotiating corporate transactions within the healthcare sector, with a particular emphasis on pharmacies and retirement homes. Her expertise extends to advising on a diverse range of subjects, such as acquisitions, commercial leasing and property transactions, liability issues concerning directors and officers, and transaction and corporate structuring. Her primary goal is to collaborate closely with business owners and fellow professionals to ensure that all transactions are executed efficiently, within established timelines, and with integrity.
In her spare time, Marsha can be found hiking, reading autobiographies, and playing the violin.

Ken Goldstein

One of the founders of Goldstein and Grubner, Ken is a seasoned litigator and advisor. He leads the firms Family Law, Civil Litigation, and Estates Law practice groups. Ken is known for working closely and collaboratively with his clients, to get an understanding of their legal issues and priorities, and coming up holistic legal solutions.

Ken received his B.A. (Honours in Psychology) in 1972 and his LLB in 1975. He was called to the Ontario Bar in March, 1977 and has been practicing for almost 50 years.

Over the years he has assisted thousands of people with their Family, Personal Injury, Criminal, Civil and Estate Litigation issues.

Through his Family Law practice,  he has acted for husbands, wives, and grandparents regarding custody, access, division of assets and debts as well as spousal and child support issues.

Ken also acts for both owners and workers for wrongful dismissal claims, lenders or borrowers for collections; contractors, owners and workers in construction lien and repair claims. Ken has acted for hundreds of companies regarding their corporate and commercial matters and was previously corporate counsel for a public multinational electronics company for many years.

Ken is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the National Association of Counsel for Children, the Office of the Children’s Lawyer for Ontario.  He is also a registered Notary Public with the Province of Ontario, and Trade-Mark Agent for the Government of Canada.

Ken has been involved for many years in several community associations and have received numerous certificates of appreciation and awards for his participation in various charitable endeavors. He has had a particular preference for involvement with charities and schools which assist children with learning disabilities.

When not practicing Law, Ken can be found spending time with his longstanding wife, Miriam, children, and many grandchildren.
